With a constant eye on improvement and the desire to offer a service that is both complete and compliant with market quality standards, Ortolani Adelino Srl has always aimed to guarantee professionalism when carrying out the various production processes and providing the appropriate documentation on request. A commitment which, in 2018, led the company to achieve system, process and product certifications.
In February, the audit was confirmed by the accredited third body IIS (Italian Welding Institute) to achieve three certifications: UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015, UNI EN ISO 3834-2 certification, and its own FPC certification in compliance with UNI EN 1090 EXC 2 with the validation of production processes in reference to Sheet Laser Cutting, Pipe Laser Cutting and Bending with EXC 4 acceptability class.
During this process, the personnel supporting the special welding processes were trained with professional recognition by an IWS (International Welding Specialist) and IWI-C (International Welding Inspector-Comprehensive). In addition to careful training, various activities have been carried out with the result of obtaining multiple welder certifications for its internal staff in the TIG 141, MIG 136, MAG 135 processes in compliance with UNI EN ISO 9606-1 and UNI EN ISO 9606-2 standards. Together with the above certifications, they were also awarded welding process certifications for the various processes and materials used in compliance with the UNI EN ISO 15614-1 standard.
In specific terms, two internal figures were trained with the assignment of CS (welding coordinator – RWC) and CS1 (substitute welding coordinator – DWC). These two personnel were assessed and, after passing the verification tests, are now fully qualified for the role. With reference to the post-welding CND controls (non-destructive tests), internal staff took part in an initial training course with the assistance of a certified UNI EN ISO 9712 operator at 2nd level. The control methods that have been introduced are VT (Visual), PT (penetrating liquids), MT (magnetoscopic) and UT (ultrasound).
To date, the company uses external operators qualified to provide certification of the aforementioned controls with a view to completing the training process for its own internal staff.
